Sometimes, the right book comes along at the right moment. When you need it most, wisdom and answers appear. Here are some personal growth books you might enjoy. Read the ones that jump out at you, because they did so for a reason. Study them, live them, benefit from them and share them.
The right book will come along at the right time!
The right book will come along at the right time!

1. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

This is a timeless classic! It sounds like it’s about financial wealth, but really the message is much deeper – think the right thoughts and you can create anything you imagine. It’s a life-changing book and it’s arguably one of the first self-help books.

2. Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach.

A beautiful, simple story about a seagull learning about flight, and life… a small book with a profoundly deep message.

3. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson.

Whether you are an Apple faithful or can’t stand the thought of the little white icon, this book is a must-read, delving into the passion and drive that created an empire with a cult following.

4. The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz.

Practical, no-nonsense advice on how to improve your life. On setting your goals high – and then exceeding them!

5. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

A thousand pardons if you’ve already read it and you’re seeing it on my lists again – if you haven’t, it’s a must read. It’s a classic on human relationships that will never go out of style.
Be inspired, learn and grow.
Be inspired, learn and grow.

6. Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela.

Visionary and leader, the late Nelson Mandela’s autobiography will inspire you and make you drop every single one of your excuses as to why you can’t achieve something.

7. Spark by John Ratey.

Marries exercise and intellect in a fascinating way – yes, exercise makes you smarter and creates a brain less prone to stress, so get out there and go for a run! And then read this book!

8. Stop Acting Rich by Thomas Stanley.

A practical guide on how to stop living beyond your means and create financial freedom that most people will never achieve.

9. Talent is Overrated by Geoff Colvin.

It’s true, you’re not going anywhere on talent alone. Devotion to honing your skills, patience, humility and perseverance are the ways to rise to the top and give your talents full expression.

10. The Attention Revolution: Unlocking the Power of the Focused Mind by Alan Wallace.

Focus is something most of us are rather terrible at. Especially today, with so many electronic distractions, gifs and soundbytes flying at us at a million miles an hour, how are we supposed to sloooooooow down and focus? This book tells you how, and how that extra focus will absolutely rock your life.

11. The Mastery of Love, by Don Miguel Ruiz.

Wow. You simply MUST read this book. It will change the way you see yourself, the world, and love. I’m re-reading for the 3rd time!
I may have shared some of these books before, but if I did it’s because they are truly noteworthy. Browse through them at your local bookstore or online, and let one or more of them spark something within you.
I remember reading Jonathan Livingston Seagull back when I was a young teen. I thought it was a cute story, but didn’t understand the deeper meanings until I re-read it much, much later – some 30 years later, as a matter of fact. Then it finally resonated with me.
These books are good once, great twice and monumental on the third read. Just like in your favorite movie, there are details and nuances you might have missed on the first two go-rounds and if there is a span of several years or more between reads, all the better because you will be seeing these books from a new perspective!
There are no coincidences… no mistakes… if a book resonates with you it’s because you are READY for the lesson it holds.
Enjoy the reads!
